A pioneer and a visionary in his own right, Late Dr. V. G. Vasishta started his career as a Specialist medical
officer in the Air Force where he served for over 20 years after completing his medical and postgraduate
degree in Radiology from the Government Medical College, Nagpur, India. He obtained an honourable
discharge from the Air Force in 2006 to start SBF and focus on SPMF® research.

About Late Dr. Vasishta

Dr. Vasishta had the distinction of being the only recognized guide for PhD in Radiology in the state of
Karnataka apart from being a postgraduate teacher for Rajiv Gandhi University of Medical Sciences. He has
mentored several MD students and served as Professor and Head, Department of Radiology at the Institute of
Aerospace Medicine, Bangalore.

armed forces which received the Presidential colours for outstanding contribution and work of excellence.

Apart from being a member of the American Institute of Ultrasound Medicine, he has fellowships from the Lahey Medical Center, Boston and the International Medical Sciences Association Fellowships from Jefferson
Institute, Philadelphia.
